Effects of Sulbactam Powder
1. Inhibition of β-lactamase
Sulbactam Powder can block the hydrolysis of β-lactam antibiotics such as penicillin by inhibiting β-lactamase, thereby protecting these antibiotics from degradation.

Who should not use sulbactam?
(1) Cross-allergic reaction: Sulbactam is contraindicated for those who are allergic to penicillin antibiotics.
(2) Sulbactam can pass through the placenta to the fetus and is also found in breast milk. Although there have been no reports of problems with its use in pregnant and lactating women, the pros and cons must still be weighed when using it.
(3) Patients with impaired renal function should reduce the dose appropriately when using this product; patients with normal renal function should take the drug once every 6 hours, 0.5g each of sulbactam and ampicillin; when the glomerular filtration rate is 15-30ml, 5-14ml and < 5ml per minute, the frequency of dosing is twice a day, once a day and once every other day, respectively.
(4) The incidence of rash is higher in patients with mononucleosis when using this product, and this product is generally not used in patients with this disease.
