is a white crystalline solid that is powdery at room temperature. Its chemical name is (5Z)-25-cyclohexyl-4'-O-de(2,6-dideoxy-3-O-methyl-α-L-arabino-hexopyranosyl)-5-demethoxy-25-de(1-methylpropyl)-22,23-dihydro-5-deoxy-6,4'-O-epoxy-25-de(1,3-dimethyl-1-buten-3-yl)-avermectin A1a.
Selamectin is soluble in ethanol and dimethyl sulfoxide, slightly soluble in chloroform and ether, and almost insoluble in water. Its molecular weight is 1008.2218 g/mol and its melting point is 102-106°C. Selamectin has insecticidal and anthelmintic effects and is widely used in the field of pet medicine and health care.
